Volunteers Have Fun, Too!

One of the pleasures in life that gives extra meaning to our lives is when we can be part of something bigger than ourselves.  In our brief stay here on this planet, it’s a privilege to take part in a worthwhile cause that is positively changing lives of kids of all ages, and at the same time improving the environment that will be left to future generations.

Aquarian Quest is dedicated to this mission and thus provides Sarasota Volunteer Opportunities ranging from office work to field work.  Here are some areas that you may be interested in:

• Help maintain and contact a database of volunteer and donors
• Help with creative fundraising events
• Help with onboard environmental education
• Apply to be a Board member and guide the organization
• Communication needs such as writing the newsletter

Whatever your skills and interests are, you can find a place to apply them with Aquarian Quest.  Just visit our volunteer page and apply to join the volunteer family.  The beneficiaries (the kids) will be very thankful!

Aquarian Quest is funded largely through contributions, sponsorships and grants, so your participation is very important to us.

One way to help Aquarian Quest and the kids of Southwest Florida is to donate your boat and claim “fair market value” for your donation. We’ll either put it to work in our on-the-water educational programs or sell it to raise funds for sponsoring classes on our floating classroom.

Changes in the tax laws governing donations went into effect as of December 31, 2004, which may limit the deduction that a donor may claim, unless the nonprofit actually uses the boat.  Please consider the tax-deductible donation of your boat to help us continue our work.

We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit. All contributions are fully TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your contribution can pay for another class on the floating classroom.  We will evaluate your boat donation and provide all the documentation you need to file the donation with your tax preparer.
